Punchy new rebrand for Edinburgh-based film company Aarol Films.

Aarol wanted to create a new identity that conveyed their character, their playful approach to film making and experimentation with analog techniques.

The 'A' ident is formed from the abstract forms of a classic film reel and digital play button that represents Aarol's blending of old and new techniques to create rich, textured films. The typographic treatment was designed to be solid, smart but playful. We also designed a new contrasting palette that feels modern but also conveys subtle 80s vibes.
